Ice Driving USA was founded by Patrik Sandell — a Swedish-born professional rally and rallycross driver whose passion for motorsport began on the frozen lakes of northern Sweden. Growing up, navigating cars at high speed on ice was more than a winter pastime — it became the foundation for Patrik’s future success on the world stage.
During his professional career in motorsport, including multiple seasons driving rallycross in the United States, Patrik recognized the unique benefits and thrill of ice driving. In 2018, he introduced this Scandinavian concept to America by launching the Subaru Winter Experience. The program quickly became a winter destination for driving enthusiasts nationwide. After three successful seasons, the experience evolved and returned post-pandemic with a new identity — Ice Driving USA.
